The world as we know it

Traitors, liars and thieves.

The Australian Constitution

Chapter I. The Parliament.

Part V – Powers of the Parliament

51.The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws for the peace, order, and good government of the Commonwealth More here

As the ETS and Copenhagen promise to do nothing for the Australian people or the environment but instead through punitive taxes they will destroy our economy, our way of living and bankrupt our government – then it is illegal for the Parliament or any politician to support it.

Yet we currently have the traitors of Krudd, Turnbull, Wrong, Hockey and McFarlane pushing by whatever means possible, at the last possible minute appalling laws that have now been exposed to be based simply on fraudulent junk science. As due process’ has been systematically ignored‘ by these politicians and any adequate or reasonable explanation to the public of the financial and democratic implications of the ETS and Copenhagen ignored the world continues to cool.

Its about time the rank and file in the Labor Party as well as the Liberal and Nationals united together on principle and acted for the good of Australia in defeating both these appalling pieces of government bureacracy.

Turnbull walks out. Turnbull tries to declare victory though he only had 33 votes to 46 saying NO to the ETS. KRudd keeps making concessions throwing billions at it – billions that we will have to pay for. Why is this government trying to get it through any way possible, subversively without the public knowing the full extent of it at one second to midnight!

All the while the media continues its alarmist propaganda.

Should the Coalition oppose the Rudd Government’s Emissions Trading Scheme? – vote here

On the funny side of things; Australia Post has created a new stamp with a picture of the Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd. The stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the Prime Minister, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and spending of $1.73 million, a special commission presented the following findings:1. The stamp is in perfect order.2. There is nothing wrong with the adhesive.3. People are spitting on the wrong side of the stamp.

It sounds like it is going to be close in the Lib party ballot. Robbs speech was quite the surprise. Hopefully it will push the numbers in favor of the NO vote. I have now completely lost faith in the ABC on their lack of ACTUAL reporting of whats going on. Disgraceful.

Well the NO vote has it but Turnbull is desperately still trying to claim victory and in the process losing all credibility. Andrew Bolts blog is going off over Turnbull declaring he must oppose the ETS or be sacked. Link above.

  3. Deet says:

I agree, the party is completely fragmented and I can’t see how the members who oppose the ETS will be able let this slide.

We fight not to enslave, but to set a country free, and to make room upon the earth for honest men to live in. Thomas Paine

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. RONALD REAGAN,
My definition of a free society is a society where it is safe to be unpopular. Adlai E. Stevenson Jr
If you want to be free, there is but one way; it is to guarantee an equally full measure of liberty to all your neighbors. There is no other. Carl Schurz
The First Amendment is often inconvenient. But that is besides the point. Inconvenience does not absolve the government of its obligation to tolerate speech. Justice Anthony Kennedy
Self-reliance is the only road to true freedom, and being one’s own person is its ultimate reward. Patricia Sampson
Many politicians are in the habit of laying it down as a self-evident proposition that no people ought to be free till they are fit to use their freedom. The maxim is worthy of the fool in the old story who resolved not to go into the water till he had learned to swim. Thomas Macaulay
The law will never make men free, it is men that have to make the law free. Henry David Thoreau
If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter. George Washington
