The world as we know it

Real Environmentalism – Green without the red

The Worldbank and climate change.

Watermelons – green on the outside, red on the in.

From Sustainability or exploitation?

Quote; “In reality, the global carbon market is proving to be simply another weapon used by multinational corporations to accelerate their incursion on the rights of indigenous peoples and small-scale landholders in Latin America.

The irony of this situation takes on an especially tragic hue since many of the communities at risk have been living in a sustainable manner for centuries and thus should be seen as models in the fight against environmental degradation and climate change. Instead, the World Bank has adopted a system that inadequately addresses one pressing environmental hazard at the expense of other important environmental issues and the well-being of the world’s most vulnerable populations”

The World Bank is just one of the many Agencies of the United Nations. You would think that they might actually be working hand in hand with other agencies, considering they are all from the same overarching body, the UN as a whole. You would think they might be working towards the same ends then, especially with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. (UNIPCC)
So it seems very odd indeed that the World Bank is currently spending Billions on the construction of coal fired power plants in those Developing Countries.
Because they come on line delivering power the fastest, the fuel is still relatively cheap and readily available, and they are the cheapest to construct, and the most able to provide 24 hours worth of electrical power on a steady reliable basis.
Considering that more than half the World (nearly all of them in those Developing Countries) have no access whatsoever to electrical power, then a cheap, effective, reliable, and constant supply of electricity is needed to bring something to those people that we take utterly for granted in our already Developed Country.
To that end, the World Bank is madly funding the construction of those CO2 emitting plants that the same UN tells us is causing Global Warming/Climate Change that will supposedly be the death of us all.
But hey, don’t just believe me, http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article6836112.ece
You would think these people would talk to each other. eh!
    Talk about hypocrisy.

What a wicked web they weave. All interlinked with their NGOs trying to supercede governments, all with an agenda. So much for democracy, freedom and truth – the UN seems allergic to it all.

Now we begin to see who the real leaders in the world are. Not the people who are front and center on the world stage, but the grey men behind the scenes who no-one pays any attention to. How does one bring them into the light, when they have the means to control elected governments?

Its a grass roots movement that has been lit and we all know how wildfires spread. The universe will bring together what and who we need! – if you just look at some of the sites on my blogroll – they are testimony to that!

    Hi Twawki,
Here is a link worth a read.
Carbon Currency: A New Beginning for Technocracy?
    Found it via Fausty’s Blog:
“Forces are already at work to position a new Carbon Currency as the ultimate solution to global calls for poverty reduction, population control, environmental control, global warming, energy allocation and blanket distribution of economic wealth. ”
    As Fausty says, “Be afraid”.

Yeah the political elite seem intent on pushing through their plans regardless of what real science or the populace think – and the amount of spin they attach to it is appalling.

What do you think?

We fight not to enslave, but to set a country free, and to make room upon the earth for honest men to live in. Thomas Paine

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. RONALD REAGAN,
My definition of a free society is a society where it is safe to be unpopular. Adlai E. Stevenson Jr
If you want to be free, there is but one way; it is to guarantee an equally full measure of liberty to all your neighbors. There is no other. Carl Schurz
The First Amendment is often inconvenient. But that is besides the point. Inconvenience does not absolve the government of its obligation to tolerate speech. Justice Anthony Kennedy
Self-reliance is the only road to true freedom, and being one’s own person is its ultimate reward. Patricia Sampson
Many politicians are in the habit of laying it down as a self-evident proposition that no people ought to be free till they are fit to use their freedom. The maxim is worthy of the fool in the old story who resolved not to go into the water till he had learned to swim. Thomas Macaulay
The law will never make men free, it is men that have to make the law free. Henry David Thoreau
If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter. George Washington
