The world as we know it

Bureaucracy gone mad!

We live in an era of Big Government where our taxes are buying more bureaucrats and less services and structure. Where big spending is frivolous and big taxing done in earnest. Where the politics of penalty is the more they can make us wrong the more they can profit from it and blame us for it!

Man jailed for 7 years for stealing cheese worth $3.99 – he has already served 825 days in jail awaiting trial! So lets get this right instead of getting him to pay for the cheese and maybe also a fine to cover the costs of apprehending him they instead choose to incarcerate him for 3 1/2 years while they sort themselves out. Then they jail him for this minor offence because he is a repeat offender. The cost to the public of him being in jail probably is hundreds of thousands of dollars plus exorbitant legal costs plus him not working and paying tax etc etc etc

The lunacy of the governments and their legal systems – anarchy look more attractive every day!

Health care likely to need 200 – that’s TWO HUNDRED new organisations!, Bureaucracy at it’s worst, UN bureaucracy,

It would seem the path to global governance is to create as much centralised power. as much bureaucracy as possible. The more that work for the government the more will have a vested interest in the government staying in power and extending its tentacles.

The First Amendment is often inconvenient. But that is besides the point. Inconvenience does not absolve the government of its obligation to tolerate speech. Justice Anthony Kennedy
Self-reliance is the only road to true freedom, and being one’s own person is its ultimate reward. Patricia Sampson
Many politicians are in the habit of laying it down as a self-evident proposition that no people ought to be free till they are fit to use their freedom. The maxim is worthy of the fool in the old story who resolved not to go into the water till he had learned to swim. Thomas Macaulay
The law will never make men free, it is men that have to make the law free. Henry David Thoreau
If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter. George Washington
